Email Lists in Campaigns

Introduction

In this article we'll explain a little more about how the use of email lists in Google Ads and Facebook Ads campaigns works and the importance of this resource.

It's important to note that we use these lists for different purposes for each platform and according to the segment of your business. Here are some of the applications for email lists.

Using Email Lists in Google Ads

Types of campaigns we can apply to lists:

    • Research Network
    • Display (Gmail only)
    • Youtube

But how applicable is it?

For Research Network

With these lists, we can negate specific audiences that we want to exclude from targeting in search network campaigns. As a result, the ads will not print for these users.

On the other hand, we can target and apply specific bids to selected users.

Practical example: Students already enrolled or annual subscriptions, which would make no sense to be impacted, generating a cost to the account.

To YouTube

As with the search network, the idea here is the same. Target specific audiences or exclude them! Aiming for greater assertiveness and cost savings for your account.

To Display (Gmail)

For Display campaigns, Google has a few rules. To use this segmentation, we need at least 1000 active Gmail emails.

Please note: To take advantage of this feature in Google Ads, the account must meet the following requirements:

    • Good payment history;
    • At least 90 days of Google Ads history;
    • More than US$50,000 in total spend. For advertisers with managed accounts in currencies other than the US dollar, the spend amount will be converted to USD using the average monthly exchange rate for that currency.

Using Email Lists in Facebook Ads

For E-commerce

If you have an e-commerceyou should know that this resource is essential for reaching new users. We use e-mail lists with very specific audiences of lookalike.

With this, Facebook itself cross-references information from users who have similar characteristics and interests to the target audience that is already connected to your business in order to impact them with ads.

Another way we exploit this list is by impacting the network of customers who have already converted, but in a short space of time, since this type of audience tends to "saturate" very quickly.

For Leads

On the other hand, if your goal is to attract leadsthe strategy is a little different. These lists are applied much more for the purpose of identifying the qualification of the leads you have captured.

We understand that in your market, there are often unqualified leads that don't match your area of activity. So it's essential that we identify those valid contacts, isn't it?

For this strategy to work, we need to work together. Ideally, at least once a month, you should send us updated lists of all your qualified you have received through the platform.

From there, we'll apply these lists back to the campaigns and Facebook itself will identify the audiences that have brought in "hot" leads, prioritizing them. On the other hand, those ad sets that generated "cold" leads will be turned off or optimized by our team.

Conclusion

If you advertise in Digital Marketing and have a registered customer base, a great option is to use mailing lists in your campaigns. With them, you'll be able to reach a highly qualified audience and also find new users.

Take advantage of this and organize your customer list to apply to your campaigns!
