On June 2, 2016, Pareto Group was presented as one of the 24 companies selected by Endeavor Brazil, Babson College e Sebraeto be part of the high-impact entrepreneurship program ScaleUp Rio.

ScaleUp is an evolution of the famous Endeavor Promises. The Promessas program, promoted by Endeavor in several Brazilian states, provides mentoring to groups of high-growth companies. The 2015 edition in Rio included Project Builder, iBooking, Chef's Club and Voopter.

The central objective of the program is, in the words of SEBRAE:

"to accelerate the growth of businesses with great potential, led by entrepreneurs capable of becoming the next great examples of Brazilian entrepreneurship."

ScaleUp Rio meeting

The first meeting of ScaleUp Rio took place on June 2 at the Prodigy Hotel Santos Dumont. The event began with an opening and presentation of the program by the managing director of Sebrae/RJ, Cezar Vasquez. Then Endeavor Brasil's Director of Institutional Relations, Marcela Zonis, presented the program's actions and mediated the panel with entrepreneurs Marcelo Salim (Startup Rio), Mario Chady (Grupo Trigo) and Sidney Breyer (Aggir Capital).

After the opening and the panel, the 24 companies had the opportunity to present to all the others. At this point, our founding partner and marketing director, Ramon Palomo, represented Pareto and presented a pitch about our AdWords automation technology , Pareto Quantic

ScaleUp Rio Opportunities

In this program Babson, Endeavor and Sebrae come together to offer various opportunities to catalyze the potential of the 24 companies chosen in RJ:

Endeavor Mentoring

Endeavor, the world's leading entrepreneurship organization, has a network of top Brazilian entrepreneurial executives to sponsor the selected companies. This network will sponsor the companies and offer mentoring to help with more strategic decisions.

Babson Accelerator

Babson College, an American university that is a reference in entrepreneurial education worldwide, will be offering workshops and training on how to scale sales. This is part of the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Project, a project to develop entrepreneurial communities created by Professor Daniel Isenberg.

Sebrae consultancies

To complement the mentoring and workshops, Sebrae will offer consultancies to help apply all the knowledge acquired.

NetWorking and Networking

In addition to these huge opportunities, Endeavor will offer the 24 selected companies the chance to talk to references in their market. With this Networking, the companies will be able to access and learn from others who are going through, or have gone through, the same challenge.

The ScaleUps concept and selected companies

According to Sebrae, scale-ups are companies that can sustain growth of at least 20% a year for three years in a row. This growth must be in employees or revenue.

The 24 companies selected for ScaleUp Rio 2016, in addition to Pareto Group, are: Árvore de Livros, Atende Simples, Billy The Grill, Br Med, Descomplica, Ecotronic, Equipacare, Fábrica de Bolos Vó Alzira, Fumajet, Hareburger, 3 Monkeys Beer, NOI, Passei Direto, Storm Security, Wdev, We Do Logos, Wpensar, Xtech Commerce, Yenzah and Zoox.

Google SMB Partner and ScaleUp Rio

ScaleUp Rio was the second program Pareto was chosen for this year. The first, in March, was Google's acceleration program to become an SMB Partner. In this case, the selection was also due to our AdWords automation technology, Pareto Quantic, in which they saw enormous potential for growth and expansion!

Gratitude and expectation

We at Pareto are very grateful for the opportunity to take part in ScaleUp Rio. In particular, we would like to thank Lorena Alvarez, from Endeavor, who was responsible for selecting us, and Pedro Parreiras, from Nomus Industrial, for recommending us to the program.

What's more, we want all those selected to grow exponentially with us. We will be totally willing and dedicated to helping this network grow, contributing to a more entrepreneurial Rio!
